My Account

Hello,

An update on my current health (5/19/2026); The BP meds have been helping the OI outside of flareups, but still struggling when they hit. The last couple of crashes have taken 2-3 weeks to settle each. Currently trying low-dose Rapamycin, a kidney transplant medication at high doses, and will have to wait and see how it helps. Specialist said there’s a few things to try on the list, but pacing is ultimately the most important management for these types of illnesses.

I don’t know if 2026 will be better or get worse, but sometimes all we can do is say to ourselves “I’ll try again tomorrow”.

ME/CFS is a long-term, debilitating immunological or mitochondrial illness that has only recently been getting funding for research due to rising long-COVID cases.

The treatments may help relieve some symptoms and give back a little functionality, but I can’t plan to reopen for quite awhile, likely well into 2026 at minimum.

Thank you all for your patience, it’s been pretty rough…
